We re pleased to announce the latest BEE Award Winner, Shaun Reynolds, Copy Center!

I am pleased to nominate Shaun Reynolds, Mail Room and Print Shop Supervisor, for the BEE Award. Shaun plays a crucial role in helping our Organizational Development and Education Department deliver high-quality training experiences. The handouts and bound workbooks he produces are consistently professional and well made, giving leaders useful materials in which to take notes during workshops and refer back to as leadership challenges and opportunities arise.

For a period before another team member joined him, Shaun managed the Copy Center and Mail Room largely on his own, including delivery responsibilities. Although this workload would normally be shared among multiple employees, he handled it with grace, professionalism, and a strong commitment to timely service. Even during demanding periods, he remained positive and personable—and occasionally delivered our materials with one of his signature “dad jokes” as an added bonus.
Shaun has also taken the initiative to develop and begin implementing a new print-request system using an online standardized form. The process is making requests easier and more efficient while reducing miscommunication, staff time spent resolving errors, and avoidable reprinting. As the system continues to roll out, it has the potential to generate significant cost savings for DCH by improving accountability and reducing waste.

Shaun’s exceptional service has been especially evident during a six-month leadership training series I began piloting this year. Because the program is being developed in real time, final materials are sometimes not ready until the evening before a session. For sessions requiring this tight turnaround, I coordinate the timeline with Shaun ahead of time, and he goes above and beyond by arranging to arrive early the following morning to print and prepare the workbooks so our leaders have what they need when the training begins. His flexibility and dependability have repeatedly enabled us to deliver a professional learning experience despite extremely tight timelines.
Shaun exemplifies Being Exceptional Everyday through his teamwork, initiative, professionalism, and commitment to serving others. His work strengthens our department’s leadership-development efforts and supports the leaders who serve DCH’s employees, patients, and community. I am grateful for the opportunity to recommend Shaun for the BEE Award.
BEE Award nominations are accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.
