We are pleased to announce that Dennis Fisher, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, will be joining DCH as Chief Human Resources Officer.
Fisher brings more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience in the healthcare industry to DCH. Throughout his career, he has focused on employee engagement and retention, leadership development, performance management and workforce strategy.
Fisher most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Maury Regional Health in Columbia, Tennessee, a three-hospital health system with approximately 3,100 team members. During his tenure at Maury Regional Health, Fisher implemented an HR Business Consultant model, developed strategies to reduce reliance on agency nursing, established a gig workforce to help avoid bed closures, implemented a comprehensive wellness program and developed workforce and succession-planning initiatives. He also helped reduce controllable turnover by improving onboarding and realized significant annual savings through focused contract review.
Fisher's healthcare career also includes leadership roles with Baptist Memorial Health Systems, Northeast Georgia Health System and Wellstar Health System. Earlier in his career, he worked directly with patients and families in customer service and behavioral health roles, giving him experience across multiple areas of healthcare.
He holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Jackson State University. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and holds the SHRM-SCP credential.
