We're excited to announce our latest BEE Award winner, Cedric Foy!

BEE Award Winner – July 2026 Cedric Foy

I am honored to nominate Cedrick for the BEE Award because he truly represents what compassionate, patient-centered care looks like every single day. No matter how busy the unit becomes, Cedrick always has a smile on his face and treats every patient, family member, and coworker with kindness, dignity, and respect.

Cedrick consistently goes above and beyond what is expected of him. He never waits to be asked for help. Whether it’s answering another patient’s call light, assisting nurses during critical situations, helping a coworker who is overwhelmed, or simply taking a few extra moments to comfort an anxious patient, Cedrick is always there. His willingness to step in wherever he is needed makes an incredible difference to our team and to the patients we care for.

One of Cedrick’s greatest strengths is the genuine compassion he shows every person he encounters. He has an incredible ability to make patients feel seen, heard, and valued. Even during difficult hospital stays, his positive attitude and warm smile bring comfort and reassurance to those who need it most. Patients frequently feel more at ease simply because Cedrick takes the time to listen, encourage them, and provide care with kindness.

As a coworker, Cedrick is dependable, hardworking, and selfless. He approaches every shift with a positive attitude, no matter how challenging the day may be. His professionalism, teamwork, and willingness to help create a supportive environment where everyone succeeds together. He sets an example for others through his work ethic, humility, and genuine concern for both patients and staff.

Cedrick embodies the spirit of the BEE Award through his excellence, compassion, and unwavering commitment to serving others. His daily acts of kindness may seem small to him, but they leave a lasting impact on the lives of his patients, their families, and his coworkers. He is the kind of healthcare professional every patient hopes to have by their side.

For his exceptional dedication, compassionate heart, and commitment to going above and beyond every day, I cannot think of anyone more deserving of the BEE Award than Cedrick.

BEE Award nominations are accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.

Clear display boxes, which include printed nomination forms, are located throughout DCH hospitals for both the BEE Award and The DAISY Award. You can find the Nomination Form Here.
