DCH Coronavirus Update 6-17-21

DCH Coronavirus Update 6-17-21

COVID-19 Vaccine Remote Site Update

The public demand for COVID-19 vaccines at DCH’s remote site has continued to decrease. Starting the week of June 28, DCH will only offer vaccines to the public on Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5:50 p.m. DCH’s vaccination building is in the parking lot just west of DCH Regional Medical Center.

Individuals 12 years and older who wish to receive the vaccine can register for an appointment at https://www.dchsystem.com/covidvaccine/. A parent or guardian must accompany, and sign a consent form for, any individual between the ages of 12 and 17.

Update to Visitor Entry Procedures

Starting June 21, Fayette and Northport will open their main lobby entrances. All other entrances at DCH’s three campuses that are currently open or closed will remain as is.

With this change, security officers will continue to be present at the open entrances but will no longer check temperatures and IDs. They will also continue to provide visitor badges, make sure masks are being worn and inform visitors that, in most cases, only two visitors are allowed at a time (other than the elimination of temperature checking, the visitation policy is not changing at this time).

For medical staff offices, security will only be providing a visitor badge and requiring individuals to wear masks.
