Alston Poellnitz, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCCP, PGY2 Residency Program Director

Dr. Alston Poellnitz received his B.S. in Biomedical Sciences (2014) and Pharm.D. (2018) from Auburn University.  After completing a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama, he joined DCH Regional Medical Center in 2019 as a Clinical Pharmacist before transitioning to his current role as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Critical Care. Dr. Poellnitz practices in the medical ICU and serves as the PGY2 Critical Care Residency Program Director. He is actively involved in precepting PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents as well as pharmacy students from both Auburn University and Samford University.
