I would like to nominate Tori for the DAISY Award for the exceptional care she provided to my love one during a very frightening situation.
While caring for my love one, Tori noticed that my love one’s blood pressure had suddenly spiked. She immediately recognized that something was not right and quickly identified signs that my love one could be experiencing a stroke. Without hesitation, she jumped into action, got the necessary assistance, and made sure my love one received immediate medical attention.
What stood out to me most was Tori’s attentiveness and sense of urgency. She did not ignore the warning signs or simply wait to see what would happen. She trusted her clinical judgment and responded quickly when every moment mattered. As a family member, watching someone you love experience a medical emergency is frightening, but knowing that Tori was paying close attention and advocating for my love one gave our family comfort during an extremely stressful moment.
Tori demonstrated exactly what compassionate and skilled nursing care should look like. Her ability to recognize a potentially serious situation and act immediately may have made an incredible difference in my love one’s care and outcome.
Our family is extremely grateful for Tori and the care she provided. She did more than perform her job—she showed compassion, professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine concern for my love one’s well-being. Tori is truly deserving of recognition through the DAISY Award, and our family will always remember the care she provided when my love one needed it most. Thank you!
