Congratulations to DCH's latest BEE winner, Sarah Crawford!

We're excited to announce our latest BEE Award winner, Sarah Crawford from DCH's ER team! Here is her nomination....

Sarah Crawford – RMC ED Registration

I would like to nominate Sarah Crawford for a BEE Award in recognition of the compassion, kindness, and professionalism she demonstrated in the RMC Emergency Department.

A patient’s family member came into the ED searching for their loved one and was understandably upset and concerned. Sarah immediately stepped in with genuine compassion and care. She remained calm, patient, and reassuring throughout the interaction. She helped comfort the family member and guided them through the situation with empathy and understanding.

What stood out most was the way Sarah reassured the family member that everything was going to be alright. Her comforting presence helped ease their fear and anxiety during a very stressful moment. Sarah’s actions reflected the true meaning of compassionate patient and family-centered care.
She went above and beyond her normal duties to provide emotional support and kindness, and her actions made a lasting impact. Sarah is truly deserving of recognition for the exceptional care and compassion she shows to patients and families every day.

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. Any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award. RNs are recognized for exceptional service with The DAISY Award.

BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.

Clear display boxes, which include printed nomination forms, are located throughout DCH hospitals for both the BEE Award and The DAISY Award. Click here to use the electronic forms.
