BEE Winner: Jennifer Bonds

Congratulations to Jennifer Bonds, patient care assistant/unit secretary, 6 North! She is the most recent recipient of the BEE Award.

Bonds was nominated by RN Heather Jones who noted how she stepped up to help as a patient sitter.

“Jennifer took time out of her break to calm a patient [by singing]. As I rounded through the hall, I could hear them both singing with joy. Jennifer stayed with the patient until [the patient] nodded off comfortably. She exemplified teamwork and compassion that night! I’m so proud to have her as a 6 North PCA!”

Great job, Jennifer!

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. This means that any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award.

BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.
