Congratulations to DCH's latest BEE winner, Trinity Bowen!

We're excited to announce our latest BEE Award winner, Trinity Bowen from DCH's radiology team! Here is her nomination....

"My daughter came into the Northport DCH ER with a bad bone break in her upper arm. She of course needed x-rays, but it was very painful for her to move her arm at all to get the correct angles and set up for the x-rays. Trinity knew exactly what she was doing and handled everything with kindness and gentleness for Hadley. Hadley was very scared and in a lot of pain. When she wasn't able to get her arm situated the right way, Trinity pivoted and found a different way to get the right x-ray with minimal movement and pain. Hadley was getting queasy and a little sick, and Trinity took care of her, found a way for her to sit and still get the x-rays. She got a wet cold rag for her and was able to calm Hadley down. And she did all this while instructing and work with some x-ray tech students. I was amazed at the way that she exhibited competency, deep knowledge of her area of expertise, and compassion and gentleness with a young patient."

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. Any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award. RNs are recognized for exceptional service with The DAISY Award.

BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.
