Congratulations to DCH's latest BEE winner, Wendi Parminter!

We're un-bee-lievably excited to announce our latest BEE Award winner, Wendi Parminter from DCH's Volunteer Services team! Here is her nomination....

Wendi Parminter – Volunteer Services

Wendi is the heart of our hive. She plays a huge role in our organization and consistently goes above and beyond to help everyone around her. No task is too small, no request goes unanswered, and she never hesitates to step in.

Whenever someone asks for help, Wendi’s response is always the same: "We got you. I will get the volunteers to help us." That single sentence reflects her willingness to act, her ability to rally others, and her unwavering belief that no one should face a challenge alone.

Wendi doesn't overthink; she acts with purpose and immediacy. Her decisive nature doesn't just move projects forward - it elevates those around her and strengthens our entire organization. This is perhaps most evident in the way she supports our caregivers during life’s most difficult and emotional moments. Whether our team is celebrating milestones, grieving the loss of a colleague or loved one, or navigating times of uncertainty, Wendi has an extraordinary ability to bring people together with compassion, grace, and intention. She instinctively knows how to create meaningful moments that remind caregivers they are valued, supported and never alone. Her thoughtful attention to detail, genuine empathy, and unwavering commitment to others help foster healing, connection and resilience when they are needed most. Wendi doesn't simply coordinate events – she creates experiences that strengthen our culture, reinforce our shared purpose, and remind every caregiver that they are part of something greater than themselves.

Wendi is more than a helper. She is an example of what a true leader should represent: compassion, action, teamwork, and heart.

She is truly deserving of the BEE Award, and we are deeply grateful for everything she does, inside and outside of the organization.
