We're excited to announce our latest BEE Award winner, Shandrell Edwards from RMC TSICU! Here is her nomination....
"I would like to recognize the outstanding job by this DCH employee. She went over and above the call of duty to make sure that I was able to get the treatment that I needed.
Ms. Edwards volunteered to come to my floor and apply the wound infection treatment over the weekend. She was picking up hours on a different floor as a patient care assistant and she used her outstanding skills in wound care to install the machine to treat my foot infection. Her efforts gave me much needed therapy.
She was not working on my floor, yet Ms. Edwards volunteered to come and support my RN by providing the treatment. I appreciate and applaud her professionalism and her skill."

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. Any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award. RNs are recognized for exceptional service with The DAISY Award.
BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.
Clear display boxes, which include printed nomination forms, are located throughout DCH hospitals for both the BEE Award and The DAISY Award. Click here to use the electronic forms.
