Congratulations to DCH's latest BEE winner, Christopher Griffin!

We're excited to announce our latest BEE Award winner, Christopher Griffin from RMC's EVS team! Here is his nomination....

"I would like to nominate our team member overseeing the trash and waste management areas on TSICU for outstanding performance and teamwork. Since stepping into this role, Mr. Chris Griffin has consistently gone above and beyond expectations. He proactively ensures that trash bins are emptied and maintained in a way that completely eliminates odors and infection risk, which has made a noticeable difference in both patient comfort and staff workflow. He is mindful of patient care areas and physician rounding, adjusting his work to be as unobtrusive and respectful as possible. What truly sets him apart is his approach to teamwork. He regularly checks in with staff, ask how he can help, and responds promptly to concerns without needing to be asked. His positive attitude, consideration for our patients and providers, and genuine investment in keeping the unit running smoothly have not gone unnoticed. His efforts directly support a clean, respectful, and patient centered environment, and he exemplifies what it means to be a true team player. Mr. Griffin is an asset to our unit and this facility therefore he is highly deserving of recognition."

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. Any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award. RNs are recognized for exceptional service with The DAISY Award.

BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.

Clear display boxes, which include printed nomination forms, are located throughout DCH hospitals for both the BEE Award and The DAISY Award. Click here to use the electronic forms.
