We're buzzing with excitement to say congratulations to our June BEE winner, 2 Center's Brooke Taylor. Here is her nomination:
"I have worked with Brooke a few times on her unit and noticed how the patients and family members loved her so much.
On this particular rainy Saturday evening, one of her patients was an amputee wanted to get out their room. Brooke went and found a walker and she walked with the patient all the way to the end of the OR and back to the TSICU waiting room.
One of the PT workers stopped them in the hall and noticed how happy the patient was. This patient had not had a visitor and was feeling sad. Brooke had the patient smiling from ear to ear. When they got back in the room, I heard the patient ask her about the blinds in the rooms. She said “ I will open those blinds for you”. Even though it was still raining outside, she was making sure that her patient got what was requested.
Brooke walked that "extra" mile for this patient. I think she should be recognized for this."
