We're excited announce our latest BEE Award winner, Andi Jones. Here is her nomination:
We are pleased to nominate Andi Jones for the BEE award, as she consistently exemplifies the qualities of excellence in every aspect of her work. Andi is dedicated, hardworking and demonstrates exceptional organizational skills. She is always focused on continuous learning and improving best practices, particularly in her role managing the scheduling of surgeries. She ensures that the operating room runs efficiently.
One of Andi’s standout qualities is her ability to bring high energy and a personal touch to every project she tackles. A prime example of this was her crucial involvement in the Meditech upgrade, where she worked tirelessly to minimize disruptions during the process. Andi became a go-to resource before, during and after the upgrade, providing reassurance and support to staff and ensuring that any concerns were addressed promptly.
Although Andi does not have direct patient contact, her care for the best interests of patients is evident in her active participation in perioperative meetings. Her compassion for others is reflected daily in her uplifting and kind words to everyone she encounters. Many colleagues seek her out for guidance or even for a prayer during both personal and professional challenges.
Andi’s contributions extend far beyond the perioperative department. Her talent in manipulating complex Excel spreadsheets is highly valued across the organization. It is clear that Andi’s positive impact on the workplace and the lives of others makes her an irreplaceable part of our team.
We wholeheartedly believe Andi embodies the values of the BEE Award and deserves to be recognized as a hardworking, caring and dedicated DCH role model who makes a difference in the lives of many daily.
BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. Any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award. RNs are recognized for exceptional service with The DAISY Award.
BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.
