Many students may never encounter the healthcare field in a meaningful way during their early education. At DCH, we believe that early exposure to healthcare not only empowers students but also strengthens community bonds and nurtures the innovators of tomorrow.
That’s why we’re proud to offer the DCH Summer Immersion Program—a two-week, hands-on experience designed for high school students eager to explore careers in healthcare. This intensive program immerses participants in various medical disciplines, offering unique opportunities to learn directly from healthcare professionals.
Throughout the program, students gain insight into the medical field and develop skills through observation, simulation, and guided training. By the end of the two weeks, each participant will present a capstone project, showcasing their understanding of healthcare and how they envision contributing to its future.
How to Apply
DCH invites motivated high school students to apply for this highly selective program. Applicants must submit:
A 400-word essay detailing their interest in healthcare and desire to participate
One letter of recommendation
Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
A selection committee will review all applications, choosing up to 20 students based on merit, potential, and diversity of academic background.
DCH is honored to be part of each student’s educational journey, and we’re excited to meet the future of healthcare.
