My father was in his last days while in the hospital at DCH. Dria was absolutely the best. She talked with my father as if he were the most important person in the world. When tending to him, she told him that he had to cleaned up since he had all these people coming to visit with him. She spent time caring for my daddy as if he was her own father. Someone like Dria is a rarity. While going through one of the hardest times in life, Dria made a difference.
Not only did she spend precious time with my daddy, she made sure that we were taken care of as well. One day, she peeped in and asked if I had eaten. I said that I hadn’t eaten since the previous day. Dria encouraged me to go eat and I told her that I was okay and didn’t want to leave my daddy. The next thing I knew, she came in the door with food for me. Her attentiveness to detail was unmatched. Dria was very special to us. She made a very difficult time a little easier to bear. Thank you, Dria, your sweetness has made an impact on me and my family that we will remember for the rest of our lives. The world needs more Drias!
