Congratulations to DCH's latest BEE winner, Jacquilin Gonzalez!

We're excited announce our latest BEE Award winner, Jacquilin Gonzalez! Here is her nomination:

Jaci went above and beyond to get a patient taken care of. She learned of the patient needing an exam while visiting an office at the end of the day and the physician asked her for help. She handled getting the patient on the schedule. When the office could not get the patient on the phone, Jaci drove back to DCH Regional to physically find the patient and worked with Radiology staff to ensure the patient got their exam. She truly put this patient’s care first as this exceptional effort caused her to miss her dinner reservations for her 15th wedding anniversary.

While I could provide many stories of Jaci exemplifying DCH’s values and going the extra mile for our patients and providers, this was a truly meaningful example. Jaci received a message from the physician the next morning that read, “Thank you for help yesterday. You probably saved this patient’s life.

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. Any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award. RNs are recognized for exceptional service with The DAISY Award.

BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.

Clear display boxes, which include printed nomination forms, are located throughout DCH hospitals for both the BEE Award and The DAISY Award. Click here to use the electronic forms.
