Graduation Requirements

The requirement for graduation is satisfactory completion of all semester credits from the DCH School of Sonography Program. 

  • All financial obligations must be met.
  • All hospital education obligations (CBTs) must be met.
  • Successful completion of all didactic courses - 82 credit hours (program hours only)
  • Successful completion of all clinical assignments - 1,152 hours
  • Successful completion of all required clinical competency procedures.
  • Successful completion of all course exit/Capstone examinations.
  • Participation in annual SDMS student activities.
  • Attendance at the graduation ceremonies.
  • Through didactic education and clinical practice, the student will demonstrate the competencies and characteristics listed.

The graduation ceremony marks the successful completion of the Sonography Program. During this ceremony; certificate, Program awards and recognition will be given. All graduates are expected to be present unless prior approval has been granted by the Program Director.
