DCH Board Approves Expansion to Wireless Infrastructure at DCH Regional Medical Center
The DCH Health System board of directors recently approved a $907,000 project to expand the current wireless infrastructure at DCH Regional Medical Center.
“More and more hospital equipment must operate in a secured wireless network, and many of our patients and visitors use their electronic devices when they are at the hospital,” said Chief Financial Officer Nina Dusang. “A more reliable and faster internet connection means a more productive and efficient work environment for employees and a more positive experience for patients and visitors.”
When the project is completed in September, the wireless network at the Regional Medical Center will be able to accommodate twice the number of devices than the current network, and Wi-Fi will be available in more areas in the hospital.
