Heather MacLeod, LCSW, CEAP,  CCM, EAP Director

Heather MacLeod completed her Master of Social Work at St. Catherine University/University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the State of Alabama, and also holds national certifications in Employee Assistance (CEAP) and Care Management (CCM). Her areas of expertise include management consultation, leadership coaching, work issues, critical incident stress management, and elder care. Heather also holds a Master of Science in Organization & Management from Capella University, and has more than eighteen years of management and leadership experience.


  Jacques Austin, LPC-S, NCC, EAP Specialist

Jacques Austin completed his Master of Arts in Counseling, and Bachelors of Psychology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a National Certified Counselor. His areas of expertise include stress management, anxiety, grief, depression, marital/relationship issues, life adjustments, conflict resolution, anger management, communication skills, substance abuse, and critical incident stress management.



Chip Garrett, LPC-S, SAP, EAP Specialist

Chip Garrett completed his Master of Arts in Counselor Education at the University of Alabama. His professional credentials include Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in the State of Alabama, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Qualified Substance Abuse Professional. His areas of expertise include family therapy, divorce adjustment, addictive behaviors, adolescent behavior problems, adventure based training, conflict resolution, critical incident debriefing, and trauma counseling.



 

Sonya W. Guy, LPC, CEAP, EAP Specialist

Sonya W. Guy completed her Master of Arts in Counselor Education at the University of Alabama. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Alabama, a National Certified Counselor, and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP). Her areas of expertise include individual, marital and family counseling, divorce adjustment, anger and stress management, addictive behaviors, communication skills, anxiety, management consultation, and critical incident debriefing.




Julia Madrid, LPC, EAP Specialist

Julia H. Madrid completed her Master of Arts in Counselor Education at the University of Alabama with an emphasis in couples and family therapy. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Alabama. In her work with couples, she strives to promote relationship skill-building through various strategies aimed to strengthen their emotional bond. She is knowledgeable and passionate about helping clients gain skills to manage anxiety, navigate divorce adjustment, develop stress management strategies, and pursue wellness.


Kimberly Marable, LPC-S, NCC, CEAP, SAP, CRC, EAP Specialist

Kimberly L. Marable completed her Master of Arts in Counseling Education with a specialty in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1998. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Alabama and is a LPC supervisor as well. Kimberly is also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), National Certified Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a DOT Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (QSAP). She has experience working with adolescents and adults, and her areas of expertise are substance disorders and addictive behaviors, depression, anxiety, stress management, communication skills, anger management, critical incidence, marital/relationship conflict.

Emily Smith, LPC, NCP, CEAP, Training Specialist

Emily S. Smith earned a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology, an Educational Specialist degree, and Ph.D. in School Psychology – all from The University of Alabama. Her professional credentials include Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Employee Assistance Professional, and National Certified Counselor. Emily’s role with DCH EAP is currently dedicated to training, workshops and critical incident services.


Susan Sanderson, EAP Assistant

Susan welcomes clients, schedules client appointments, maintains the front office, and generally supports EAP in every way!
