The laboratory at DCH Regional Medical Center is a JCAHO accredited laboratory that provides diagnostic testing 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The laboratory’s patient population includes inpatients, outpatients, emergency visits, physician referrals and industry.
The laboratory is staffed with more than 150 professional staff and physicians. It consists of the pre-analytical area (phlebotomy and specimen processing), core laboratory (chemistry and hematology), microbiology, blood bank, pathology (histology and cytology) and the outpatient laboratory. The outpatient laboratory, located on the ground floor of the Regional Medical Center’s outpatient tower, is open Monday -Friday from 6:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon.
