Pulmonary rehab is a six-week program that includes education and exercise. During exercise, a patient’s blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation are monitored. Pulmonary rehab sessions are held twice a week and usually last one to two hours.
Who Needs Pulmonary Rehab?
People who have been diagnosed with the following conditions are primary candidates for pulmonary rehab
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Emphysema
Asbestosis
Chronic Bronchitis
Pulmonary Fibrosis (and others)
Lung Reduction
Will my insurance pay for Pulmonary Rehab?
The Pulmonary Rehab program at DCH Regional Medical Center qualifies for payment through Medicare and most other insurance companies. During the first visit, our staff determines if a patient’s condition qualifies for the program.
How do I join the Pulmonary Rehab program?>
Have you noticed it getting more difficult to breathe during your daily routine? Talk to your doctor about our program. Have your physician fill out the back of this brochure if he or she would like to refer you to our program.
Where is Pulmonary Rehab located?
We are located on the second floor of the Phelps Outpatient Center located on the campus of DCH Regional Medical Center.
