The Physical Therapy Department at Fayette Medical Center, located at the corner of 15th St. NW and Temple Ave., is staffed Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 5: 30 p.m. Staff are on-call as needed on weekends and holidays. The department treats patients in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient and long term care.
The department’s services include general orthopedic and neurologic, wound care, pool therapy and pediatric therapy.
Occupational Therapy at Fayette Medical Center is available to individuals whose ability to manage the everyday tasks of living have been disrupted or impaired due to social or emotional problems, birth defects, the aging process or physical injury or illness. Occupational therapists use goal-directed activities to assist in teaching new skills needed to restore the highest quality of life to individuals of all ages. When skills cannot be restored, occupational therapy offers new, creative solutions to carrying out the necessary everyday tasks of living.
