DCH Regional Medical Center is our flagship facility, home to the region’s trauma center and the Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center, a certified member of MD Anderson Cancer NetworkTM, a program of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. DCH Regional Medical Center is located in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Northport Medical Center offers a full range of services including inpatient rehabilitation and psychiatric services. It is located just a few miles from the flagship hospital and is based in Northport, Ala.
Fayette Medical Center, Fayette, Ala., is among the top-rated rural hospitals in Alabama. It offers a range of services and includes a long-term care unit.

Telemetry monitoring is provided on all DCH Acute Care units. Most of these units specialize in certain disease processes or in the support of specific provider groups.
On our Tuscaloosa campus, care of the post-operative patient is provided on the General Surgery Unit (5S) and on the Orthopedic/Neuro Surgery/Plastics/Urology Unit (7S).
Medicine units and their respective areas include:
4S, nephrology and general medicine
7N/C, Hospitalist Group patients
6N/C, patients of Internal Medicine physicians
5N/C, Acute Stroke Unit and care of patients with neurological diagnoses
2SE, oncology nursing
On our Northport campus, the Medical/Surgical unit cares for post-operative patients and for general medicine patients.
Critical Care Services are provided in eight different units. These include an eight-bed Intensive Care Unit at the Northport campus; a 32-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU); a 16-bed Trauma Intensive Care Unit (TSICU); a four-bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU); and a 16-bed Acute Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU) on the Tuscaloosa campus.
DCH Regional Medical Center provides Trauma Level III emergency services at the Tuscaloosa campus where 81,000 patients were seen during fiscal year 2013. The Emergency Department at Northport Medical Center is classified as a community Emergency Department and had visits of 50,000 people in 2013.
Maternal-Child services are provided at both the Northport and Tuscaloosa sites. At Northport Medical Center, DCH offers in-room Labor-Delivery-Post Partum (LDRP) services. The DCH Regional Medical Center campus offers separate Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum units. Newborn Intensive Care Services (NICU) are provided at both campuses.
Both the Northport and Tuscaloosa facilities provide the full scope of in- and outpatient surgical care. At the Tuscaloosa campus, DCH has a Post-Surgical Unit (PSU) where post-operative outpatients spend the night in preparation for their discharge home the next morning.
Endoscopy units are located at both the Northport and Tuscaloosa facilities.
The Northport campus is the home of North Harbor Pavilion, the system’s inpatient psychiatric program, which provides intensive psychiatric care for adult and geriatric patients.
The DCH Inpatient Rehab unit is located at Northport Medical Center.
