Dr. James T. Barnett, Medical Director

Dr. James T. Barnett, physiatrist, serves as the Medical Director for the DCH Rehabilitation Pavilion. The medical director assists with approval of your admission based on criteria for rehabilitation.

Dr. Barnett earned his bachelor's degree from Birmingham Southern College, and his doctor of medicine from the University of South Alabama.

He completed his internship at Lloyd Noland Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Barnett is a member of the American Medical Association, and a Fellow with the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
