The DCH Health System's four hospitals are making world-class health care available right here at home. And the world is taking notice with national recognition for quality care and being great places to work. Here is a list of the Health System's most recent accomplishments.
Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center becomes certified member of the MD Anderson Cancer NetworkTM (2012). Through this affiliation, the Manderson Cancer Center works closely with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center to bring a higher level of cancer care to central Alabama.
Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Cneter receives three-year approval with commendation from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (2009, 2012). This accreditation is the highest level of approval from the organization.
DCH Home Care Services named in Top 5 Percent of Home Health Providers in U.S. (2011) in the 2011 HomeCare Elite, a compilation of top-performing home health agencies in the U.S.
DCH Named Outstanding Healthcare Organization (2011)by the Alabama State Nurses Association.
DCH Regional Medical Center designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama (2011, 2010).To be designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care, DCH Regional Medical Center met the selection criteria related to experience, quality and patient outcomes.
DCH Home Care Services named in Top 1 Percent of Home Health Providers in U.S. (2010)in the 2010 HomeCare Elite, a compilation of top-performing home health agencies in the U.S.
DCH Health System receives Award of Excellence for Continuous Productivity and Quality Improvement (2009, 2008, 2007) by the Alabama Productivity Center. This award is designated for previous winners of the Alabama Quality Award.
DCH Home Health Care Agency has been named in the top 500 of the 2009 Home Care Elite, a compilation of top performing home health agencies in the United States.
Fayette Medical Center receives 2009 VHA Award for Clinical Excellence. The award recognizes Fayette Medical Center’s exceptional performance on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS). HCAHPS is a government-mandated survey that measures patient satisfaction.
Northport Medical Center named a Team Showcase Silver Level Recipient (2007) by the Alabama Productivity Center. The silver was awarded to the hospital's Emergency Department Kaizen Team.
DCH Home Care Services Ranked Among Top 25 Percent of Home Health Providers in the Country (2007) by HomeCare Elite, a compilation of the most successful Medicare-certified home health care providers in the U.S.
Northport Medical Center Cardiac Rehab Program Certified (2006) by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. AACVPR recognizes programs that meet the outlined essential requirements for standards of care.
DCH Health System named a recipient of the 2006 Alabama Quality Award.The Alabama Productivity Center recognized the Health System as a Level 3 Alabama Excellence Award winner.
