Fayette County remains under a Winter Weather Warning until midnight, February 13.
The DCH Health System weather policy remains in effect for Fayette Medical Center employees. Please make plans to monitor and respond to the developing weather threat.
The extremely low temperatures combined with some precipitation during the night will create travel issues. Employees should make necessary arrangements at home for the care of their families and other personal needs in order to report to work on time beginning tonight, tomorrow, and Wednesday. Managers should review the Severe Weather Policy and discuss how the upcoming winter weather event will impact their area. Critical personnel and those with potential travel challenges should make contact with their managers to assess needs for sleep arrangements.
It's the employee's responsibility to get to work if at all possible. We will not provide transportation services.
Preplan for childcare, because NO childcare will be provided.
Bring meds and personal items with you in case employees have to stay over.
Managers should ensure their department is adequately staffed and that their supplies are at an appropriate level to carry through the weather event.
DO NOT call the Sheriff's department for a ride to work. The Sheriff's department will only pick people up and escort them to work IF the hospital requests personnel by name.
