National Organization Recognizes Fayette Medical Center's Patient Satisfaction

Fayette Medical Center recognized for performing among the top 25 percent in patient satisfaction.

Fayette Medical Center was recognized for excellence in patient satisfaction at a recent meeting of the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health.

The hospital was named a HealthStrong™ award winner by iVantage Health Analytics™, a national company that works with more than 500 U.S. hospitals to enhance their performance.

"Fayette Medical Center was recognized as an Excellence in Patient Satisfaction award winner because our patient satisfaction performance was in the top 25 percent among all acute care hospitals in the nation," Fayette Medical Center Administrator Barry Cochran said.

iVantage Health Analytics uses a national ratings program to recognize top performing hospitals in several performance categories. The information gives hospital officials an objective way to measure their hospital’s performance internally and among comparable hospitals.

"Small and rural hospitals play a critical role in providing efficient and effective health care that is on par with its larger urban counterparts," John Morrow, executive vice president of iVantage Health Analytics, said.
