Elizabeth Gottfried/DCH SportsMedicine Fund Run
DCH SportsMedicine is a comprehensive service designed to meet the needs and interests of the entire family. Emphasis within the program is on sports injury prevention, maintenance, treatment, rehabilitation and education. DCH SportsMedicine offers complete health care assistance for all ages at all levels of participation in sports activities. A team of professionals addresses each individual’s needs and concerns.
DCH SportsMedicine cares for the athletes of more than 20 area schools in West Alabama. It provides certified athletic trainers on the sidelines at games to evaluate and treat injuries when they happen. We offer the latest in rehabilitation treatment for quick return to the playing field and many orthopedic and rehabilitation services in addition to those related to sports.
Certified Athletic Trainers provide more than 12,200 hours of athletic training-related service annually to area schools and colleges. DCH SportsMedicine also provides pre-participation physicals twice a year to more than 2,000 area athletes for a nominal fee.
The certified athletic trainers at DCH SportsMedicine work with coaches, players and parents in injury prevention. Our athletic training services assure the athlete a quick return to the playing field.
